Organization of The UsitawiNetwork
Members are highly respected and forward-looking individuals who are either self-employed or have executive positions in the world of business, science, politics, administration, or the arts. They enjoy cultivating social contacts and are willing to act in keeping with the principles of The Usitawi-Network. The Club's objectives indicate the direction for new ideas and initiatives which its members will develop.
Members support, contribute to, and benefit from the network. Membership, committee and project work allow them to have a direct influence on the Club's undertakings. Apart from this, by participating in the activities of the Club, they have access to an inter-national network of influential individuals.
Analogous to other service clubs, members form local clubs that are linked by an inter-national umbrella organization.
The umbrella organization defines the general guidelines of the local clubs and their activities, but each club is responsible for shaping its specific agenda. Activities and projects are carried out either individually by each local club, or together with other local clubs. They are tailored to local needs and to the Club's overall objectives. Local clubs can also take part in projects of the umbrella organization.
The umbrella organization is responsible for administrative matters related to the overall organization. It coordinates and supports the activities of local clubs, and fulfils major tasks and functions. These include carrying out important international projects and campaigns with the help of some or all of the local clubs.
It is the permanent responsibility of the umbrella organization to ensure continuous growth of the network, to extend it into new countries and regions, and to support the founding of new clubs.
